Mat Manners shaped his first board at 16 years old.
35 years later his experience in and out of the heavy waters of Margaret River Western Australia has helped him create and develop surfboards that are built to the surfers requirments to take on some of the best waves in the world.

Billabong: Shaun Manners is a baby-faced larrikin that loves turning up the fun in the water and on land. His smooth style is offset by his pedal-to-the-metal attitude, which sees him cracking jokes, blowing fins and generally having a hell time, all the time.

From Rugby League player and Fireman to award winning Ocean and Lifestyle photographer, Russell Ord found his passion through adventure and the discovery of the untouched/unseen wilderness.
"I have been surfing with Mat for years so he knows exactly my capabilities and the lack of them and he always designs a great board for me. My fav craft at the moment is a 9'2, I just need the balls to ride it on those big days, no excuses now".
